Burlap and Buttercups Challenges!

I did these two layouts for the September challenges at Burlapandbuttercups.blogspot.com!

The first challenge was to do a layout with a block look.....the photo is my little boy and I on our second mother's day together!

The second challenge was a sketch and this is my take on the sketch! The photo is my little boy coloring with sidewalk chalk, a favorite summer activity!

The paper is some very old 3bugs in a rug, but I have been saving it for such a long time I figured it was time to use it!

Layouts.....

I have been getting alot done lately....here are just a few of what I have done this week!

The first one is my sweet little boy being his silly self! I am so happy with the way this layout turned out, the distressing and the colors mixed with the layering....and of course I had to throw a flower on it! I even used ribbon!

The second one is a simple one but my little guy picked out the paper for it!

The third one I did for a challenge at the MME blog, I love love love the photo I used of him at the beach!

The last one is a kit I created for my lss...and I added some handmade flowers to it!

Busy! Busy!Busy!

Generally when I put my kid to bed I lay with him til he falls asleep, usually this results in me falling asleep too, which means I am in bed at 8 every night! But for a couple of weeks now I have been making a serious effort to not fall asleep so that I can get up and scrap for a few hours! It has been fun getting some crafty time in but I am going to have to get used to less than 12 hours of sleep :)

Here are some layouts that I have finished!

The first is a fancy pants layout ( I just love to say fancy pants)! The wave and sun was a transparency that I cut up. The wave I cut out with patterned paper behind it and the sun had some bling added to it! The photo was the very first time my adorable little boy was in the ocean! I love love love the way this layout turned out!

The second layout is basicgrey with some petaloo flowers that I just love! The picture is my kid with my hair. It is kinda weird the way he is with my hair but it started when he was very little and still today at four years old the first thing he does when he is upset or going to bed is reach for my hair!

Third is for a Christmas in July challenge over at mycreativescrapper.com. It is more basicgrey! The photos are of my little boy getting his reindeer food and spreading it on christmas eve.

Next is bobunny...I had this paper in my scrap pile, it ws left over from a mini album I had made. The photo is my little boy with some of the neighbor kids.
Last is more scraps...bobunny and fancy pants. The photo is my silly little boy using tire foam on his big wheel after he washed it!

Recent Stuff!

Here are a few layouts I have done recently....I have not done a lot of scrappin since it is summer time and we spend a lot of time outside :)

The first layout is titled "adorable you" and I used Echo Park, I have decided that I love to use there paper! It is so bright and fun...which is why I used it with that photo. That photo makes me happy just looking at it and so does the paper!

The second layout I used some photos of my husband and little boy flying a kite. The paper is Colorbok, friendly forest. I thought it worked well with the photos!

The third layout is my sweet little boy trying to fix my computer...that day I spent most of the morning complaining about how it was slow and not working right...next thing I know he has his little tool box and is under my desk trying to fix it for me! I love that boy! The paper is three bugs in a rug.

The last layout is a kit I got at my lss, designed by Heather Preckel...it was a two page layout that I am making it two one page layouts! I added the flowers, ribbon, bling and rubons to the kit! It is a photo of my family just a couple days after bringing our little guy home from the hospital!

Scraps!

I noticed the other day that my scrap pile is starting to overflow....last time I had this problem I made flowers (ALOT of flowers)! The lazy person in me decided the flowers were too much work and to time consuming....so I went thru the pile and put pieces that coordinated together so I could create some layouts!

Burlap and Buttercups!

I was asked to be a guest designer for the month of July for an awesome kit club http://www.burlapandbuttercups.com/!

When I got my kit in the mail I was so excited!!This kit was packed full of yummy scrappy goodness! It had paper from Echo Park, My Mind's Eye, Jillibean Soup and even a piece of Pink Paislee! There were so many embellishments included with this kit, October Afternoon mini alpha stickers, thickers, Kaiserkraft pearls, Jenni Bowlin chipboard banners, Flora Doodles and much more! If you have not checked out this kit club...you need to! I created 7 layouts from this one kit....and I still have stuff left!

Lovin LIfe...

When I started this it was for the contest at the My Minds Eye blog, it is a sketch (which I used) but it was supposed to use song lyrics. Well....after going thru my stash...I found this die cut that says lovin life, and I just had to use it! So now it says lovin life one ice cream cone at a time!

My New Normal!

I was looking thru my photos the other day and I noticed that most of them had one thing in common.....silly faces! I decided that I would just go with it and scrap a few!

I did alot of distressing on both of these, and I did an entire page with no flowers (yeah me)!

All Boy!

As much fun as it is to make pages with pretty paper and lots of flowers...sometimes I need to get back to reality and do some all boy stuff! So here are some attempts! The first layout is a photo of my little guy fixing his bike (even though it is not broke)! The second layout is for a sketch contest over at MyCreativeScrapbook.com! The photo is from the Big Rig Night put on by Parents As Teachers, my kid always has so much fun at these! He just loves to get in and pretend to drive!
