Pink Paper Princess

Saturday, December 13, 2014

I had so much fun creating the mini album this month!!  I want to share with you some tips on some of the techniques I used!
For the cover I layered some of the embellishments!  Did you know that if you use your heat setting tool on the pearl flourish, it will stick better?

I wanted to be able to add some extra photos on this page, so I did a waterfall technique!

Snow globes are one of my favorite Christmas decorations, this one was a little plain....so I added some glossy accents and glitter!

Layers of embellishments and a Santa I fussy cut from the pattern paper!

A black outline makes everything pop of the busy pattern paper!
Don't forget the pop dots!

Ribbons are a great addition to any page! I used this one on the photo mat, it is going to hide something in the background of my photo!
I love the black in this kit!  I used my black copic marker to color the Pink Paislee elements!

.
Its ok to layer your photo mats over your embellishments!

I used a simple (nice word for plain!) embellishment sticker as a base for my busy cluster!

After I thought I was finished with this page, it just didn't look complete!  So I added some banners!

I only wanted to use the SANTA word on the black sticker, so I layered it behind my cluster!

I wanted the last page of the album to mimic the front cover!

BoBunny

This month I had a little extra time to do a couple projects that was just for me!!!  So I decided to play with a sketch over at BoBunny!

I dug into my BoBunny stash and found the Zip-A-Dee Doodle collection, matched it with a cute photo of my little boy...and this is what I made!

I did some stencil work, stamping and misting on the base paper.  I also added layers with lots of dimensional adhesive!

Using Masks

This month in the Album Kit we got a set of Mr. Huey's masks!  There are so many possibilities with them!  I am going to share a few ways that I used them on my layouts!

On this layout I used a gold pen and traced the lines of one of the mask and added some mist under the flower clusters.

Here I randomly traced the word LOVE from one of the mask with a black pen.  Using a pen with your mask is a great way to use them if you don't want a clean look on your layouts.

For this layout I used the stencil with black gesso.  I applied the gesso on small parts of the mask each time so it looks different on each spot.

For my last layout I used a Versamark ink pad on top of the mask, then brushed some PearlEx powder on top of the ink.  It is a very subtle look, but it adds a lot to the background!

Thankful Layout

The Album kit contains so many great papers and embellishments that I not only can make an entire mini album but I have enough product left over to make a couple layouts!

I knew when I wanted to scrap this photo when I saw the chipboard "thankful"!
The thing I love about this layout is all the texture...burlap, sheer ribbon, flowers, buttons!

BeYOUtiful Layout

The November Creative kit is absolutely my most favorite kit ever.  The combination of Pebbles and Shimelle work perfectly together!  I love the little touches of gold in this kit!!

The first layout I want to share is of my gorgeous niece!
I kept this layout fairly simple.  I fussy cut the flowers and cut a few strips of paper.  I used the stencils that came in the kit along with my gold pen on the background!  My title is just a couple of stickers!
